Do students have homework?
In math students are to be practicing their multiplication facts. In Language Arts class students are required to read each night. Students are also expected to study spelling words Monday-Thursday so they are prepared to test Friday.
What happens if I am absent?
If you are sick for a day or miss a day of school you need to check with each teacher about what you need to make up. If you know you are going to be gone in advance we will try to get your work for you prior to you leaving.
What is the best way to contact teachers?
The best way to contact teachers is through email. Teachers check their email throughout the day and should respond to you by the end of the day.

What can I do to support my child this year?
There are many ways that parents can support their child as they go through the school year. Spelling words should be practiced for the test on Friday, and math facts can be reviewed. It is important to look at your child's agenda each night and initial/sign it. Each morning, I check to make sure they have shown you their agenda and that you have signed it. It is also important that we encourage the students to read as often as they can - whether it be aloud, silently, or following along with an audio book. I encourage it at school, and your support at home is greatly appreciated!
When does my child have recess?
We have recess from 12:15-12:35.
We have lunch from 12:35-1:05.
