Welcome to All Saints Media Center! It is our belief that one of the most important gifts we can give our children is the love of reading. We are happy to help your student explore the library and find a book that will be interesting and will fit their reading level.
The Media Center is open from 8:25 to 3:50 each day. Students may check out books during the 15 minutes before and after school times, on check out day during their Media class, or they may ask their teacher if they may come down another time during the day.
Please click the following link to visit our online card catalog, Destiny. You may use this site to search for books in our All Saints library.
Students in first through fifth grades may log in to their library accounts to see what books they currently have checked out and when they are due. Students may also rate their favorite books, recommend books to other students, make a list of titles they would like to read, or browse recommended lists made by teachers.
I will go over the instructions on how to use Destiny during media class and will send a letter home to students in grades first through fifth. To log in to Destiny the student should use their Type To Learn log in information. In most cases the username is the first letter of their first name and their whole last name (with no spaces or capitals) and the password is their library number.
Adopt-a-Book is an important way to grow our library with new and interesting books. We always have a selection of books available for adoption in the library. People adopt books to honor your student, family member or teacher by remembering a birthday, special occasion or just for fun. Also, Adopt-a-Book is a wonderful memorial for a loved one.
To adopt you simply choose and pay for a book from our selection of titles. Each book that is adopted for the library will be labeled with your name as the donor in honor of the person you choose. Your student will also be the first to check out the book you adopt for them. When they are finished with the book, they will return it to the library where it will become part of our collection for other students to enjoy for years to come.
We appreciate your generous support of our All Saints Library.
Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Ready!
Voice level should be a level 1
Please leave the library in the same or better condition than when you arrived.

Please note, students with excessive fines (fines greater than $2.00) or books that are overdue a month or more will be limited to checking one book out at a time until the fines are paid and/or overdue books are returned.
Overdue Books and Fines
Fines for overdue books are assessed to students in grades 4 and 5 only and are. 05 cents per school day.
In an effort to help you help your student, email notices will be sent on Monday mornings to let you know if your student has an overdue book or any fines. Please note, if the book is overdue, the body of the email will state “OVERDUE” indicating those books that are due back to the library. If your student has fines, the body of the email will state “UNPAID FINES” for those books that were returned late (overdue fines, of .05 cents a day, are for 4th and 5th grades only) or students may have fines for books that were lost or damaged. I appreciate your help in getting overdue books returned in a timely manner.
Damaged Books
If a book is damaged, please do not repair it yourself. Have your student return the book to the Media Center with a note about the damage and we will fix the book if we are able. If the books cannot be fixed, you will be billed for the book. Please do not buy a copy of the book for the library, we will take your funds and purchase a replacement book.
All Saints School Accelerated Reader 2021-2022
Welcome to the Accelerated Reader program. This program, although it uses the word “accelerated”, is for all students in grades one through five. It is a computerized management program that helps to check the reading comprehension levels of students as they read or are read certain books. All Saints has access to hundreds of thousands of tests in reading levels from first grade to high school. All Saints adopted this program more than twenty years ago because we believe that reading is a very important skill for our students to master. The ability to read increases a student’s success in all other academic areas.
Students select and are read books that have a test available. You may check the availability of tests from home by visiting the following website: www.arbookfind.com. As students develop their reading skills, they are encouraged to read the books themselves. Test questions are 5, 10, or 20 multiple- choice questions. Advantage Learning Systems or teachers and parents of All Saints write these tests.
Parents wishing to review their student’s Accelerated Reader account should check with their student’s Reading teacher.
